While I'm originally from Western New York I have called Alaska my home since 2019, Since then I've had the privilege of serving the communities in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla, Palmer, and Kotzebue .
I first became fascinated with chiropractic care after a sports injury left me with non-stop migraines for three months back in high school. If you've never experienced one, I hope you never do - it's like a vice around your head where even light hurt.
I had been put through the ringer with tests and pills and scans - I now call that the 'spaghetti test' where some providers throw anything at the wall to see what sticks. This ultimately served to only cover up my symptoms but never address the root cause - if something didn't change, lifelong pain medications would be my reality.
It was a chiropractor who was the only provider to give substantive relief while also addressing the root of my issue - a functional issue at the uppermost part of my spine that didn't present on imaging. On that same day that doctor was able to provide more relief than the months of care I had before.
This doctor opened the door for me into what chiropractic care can accomplish when utilized appropriately.
I earned my Bachelor's in Biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and my Doctorate at what is now the Northeast College of Health Sciences in Seneca Falls, NY. It was through their program I was able to work with patients in multidisplinary health centers, inpatient hospital settings, and within the VA Hospital in Bath, NY. These experiences and more helped mold me into the practitioner that I am today.
